Cyclones Finish 7th at Schooner Fall Classic

NORMAN, Okla.- The Cyclones finished the Schooner Fall Classic with a final-day score of 285, putting their total at 564 to place tied for seventh. After the tournament's second round was canceled, the teams were forced to play just 36 holes.

Taking the Cyclone's top spot was junior Pammy Chookaew shooting back-to-back two-under rounds to place tied for fifth. Freshman Alexandra Vidal placed tied for 28th and took our Cyclone's second spot, shooting a one-over round to finish her second collegiate tournament.

Three Cyclones tied for 55th, as Keeley Marx finished her second day shooting another three-over 73 round. Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn followed Marx, also shooting a first- and second-round score of 73. Nichakorn Pinprayoon was the final Cyclone tied for 55th as she shot a one-over final round.

Winning the tournament was the Houston Cougars finishing nine under and shooting a final-round score of 276. Auburn fell two strokes short after leading the first round by three.

The Cyclone's next tournament will be at the Windy City Classic in Chicago, Illinois, Sept. 30-Oct 1.
