Cyclones Open New Facility Friday Against North Texas, Omaha

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team is set to open its' dual season Friday at the brand-new Iowa State Tennis Facility with a doubleheader against North Texas and Omaha.
Fans attending the match at the Iowa State Tennis Facility, which is located at 3700 University Boulevard south of Ames Fitness Center, are asked to park between the Ames Fitness Center and Alliant Energy Agricultural Innovation Center. Spectators can enter the doors on the south side of the facility, between the indoor and outdoor courts. There is spectator seating in the middle of the six courts. Fans are asked to stay in the spectator area.

Cyclones vs. Mean Green
Friday will be the first meeting all-time between Iowa State and North Texas.
Cyclones vs. Mavericks
Iowa State and Omaha will face off for the 11th time on Friday, with the Cyclones winning all 10 previous matchups. The last meeting between the two was in 2020.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State competed in the Duel in the Desert in Palm Springs, California to start the spring season. The Cyclones posted a 12-7 singles record and 16-12 overall record out west against Kansas, Kansas State and Arkansas.
PLAYER TO WATCH
Senior Anna Supapitch Kuearum begins the season as the No. 64 singles player in the country after a strong fall campaign. Kuearum finished the fall with an 8-3 singles record and 2-0 singles record in the Duel in the Desert.
STARTING STRONG
Iowa State has won its' last four season openers against Missouri State, South Dakota, Illinois State and Drake.
