IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa State posted another strong showing on Day 2 of the Hawkeye Invitational, advancing multiple swimmers to finals and putting together a solid night across both swimming and diving. The Cyclones were led by freshman Carlotta Gazzola in the 500 freestyle, two finalists in the 200 IM, and key scoring performances on the 1-meter boards.
"Everyone showed up and produced today in all categories," said Head Coach Matt Leach. "It wasn't just our upperclassmen or our seniors, it was a mix of everyone. So when you look at how we're developing, we're moving in the right direction and we're going to keep pushing the pedal to the metal, go Cyclones!"
