MATCHUP NOTES
- Iowa State and Stanford face off for just the third time in the programs' history. Last season, Stanford topped Iowa State, 23-21, in Ames.
- Outside of Iowa (11), California (4) and Arizona (3) are the most represented states on the Iowa State roster. There are two Californians on the current road trip - Ethan Perryman (125) and MJ Gaitan (174) both hail from Temecula, Calif.

KEY STORYLINES
- Last time out, Iowa State split a pair of duals against No. 2 Ohio State and No. 20 Lehigh despite being without a pair of starters. The Cyclones fell to the Buckeyes, 21-13, before beating the Mountain Hawks, 26-11.
- This weekend kicks off a 10-day road trip for the Cyclones, who will spend a few days in Arizona following their Tuesday dual against the Sun Devils before flying north to Fargo for a dual against North Dakota State.
- Iowa State will wrestle at Stanford for the first time in program history. It will mark ISU's ninth dual meet wrestled in the state of California in the program's 110-year history.
- The Cyclones are No. 3 in the NWCA Coaches Poll, tied for their highest ranking in the Kevin Dresser era (2017-pres.). ISU has been ranked inside the top-15 for 85 consecutive polls.
- Yonger Bastida is the reigning Big 12 Wrestler of the Week after securing wins over No. 3 Nick Feldman and No. 6 Nathan Taylor at the Collegiate Duals. Bastida leads the team with 43 takedowns on the season while surrendering only one takedown. He is 11-0 with seven wins over ranked opponents.
- Jacob Frost defeated No. 6 Ethan Stiles (OHST) just before Christmas. Now 2-0 this season against top-15 foes, it was Frost's highest ranked win of the season. He could get a rematch against Stanford's No. 14 Aden Valencia on Sunday. Frost bested Valencia earlier this season, 4-3, at the Cliff Keen Invitational.
- Evan Frost is 10-1 with five bonus-point wins this season (1 WBF, 2 TF, 2 MD). He is 1-1 against ranked opponents.
- Anthony Echemendia is 8-1 on the season with six bonus-point victories (1 WBF, 2 TF, 3 MD). He is 3-1 against ranked foes. Echemendia defeated Stanford's Jack Consiglio, 12-2 at CKLV).
- Connor Euton made his return to the lineup at the Collegiate Duals after suffering an ankle sprain in the Cy-Hawk dual on Nov. 30. Euton secured the highest ranked win of his career with a 4-2 decision over Ohio State's No. 16 Paddy Gallagher. He is 5-2 on the season with four bonus-point victories (1 WBF, 2 TF, 1 MD).
