Iowa State will run against top teams in the nation in the men's and women's distance medley relay. The Iowa State women look to qualify for nationals for the first time in the NCAA era. The Cyclones took the DMR national title in 1981 while women competed under the AIAW. The men have qualified in five of the last seven season and most recently earned First Team All-America in 2024. The top 12 relay squads following conference championships advance to NCAA Championships.
At the Iowa Open, Cyclones across all event groups will compete in preparation for Big 12 Championships. The meet will have a live stream, linked above.
Last week, six school records came down while many Cyclones put themselves in position to qualify for nationals.
