TUCSON, ARIZ.- The Iowa State Cyclones are your MountainView Collegiate Champions. The Cyclonitas never let off the gas one time and took home the win for the second time this year. The Cyclones shot 20-under as a team and shot under or even par in all three rounds in the tournament.
Nichakorn Pinprayoon came out and did her thing in all three rounds, leading the Cyclones after all three rounds, shooting seven-under. Pinprayoon finished in a tie for fourth after shooting two-under in her final round. Pinprayoon had a team low of just three bogeys in the whole tournament and grabbed three birdies in her final round. Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn shot out of a cannon in her final round, shooting a bogey-free five under, helping the Cyclones get the win. Chul-Ak-Sorn snagged five birdies, four of them coming on the front nine.Â
Alexandra Vidal did her thing, shooting one over in her final round, placing her in a tie for 11th. Vidal's three-round total was four-under, and she snagged three birdies in her final round. Pammy Chookaew was consistent the whole tournament, finding herself in a tie for 21st after shooting a three-round total of even par. Chookaew grabbed a pair of birdies in her final round.Â
Isabella Yan did her thing as well, shooting a final round score of two-over, putting her three-round total to one-over, and placing herself in a tie for 25th. Yan found herself with three birdies as well in her final round. Playing as an individual, Keeley Marx kept getting better and better throughout the tournament and shot an even-par final round, placing herself in a tie for 71st.Â
Up next for the Cyclones is the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Arizona, on April 7-8th.Â
