Former Cyclone Great Gets Jersey Retired
Former Iowa State women's basketball player Megan Taylor will have her jersey retired at halftime of the Cyclones' game against Wisconsin as a part of ISU's celebration of 30 years of women's basketball ... Taylor is the third women's basketball player to have her jersey retired ... Tonya Burns and Jayme Olson had their jerseys raised to the rafters last season ... Taylor had a phenomenal career at Iowa State as one of the key parts of head coach Bill Fennelly's turnaround of the ISU women's basketball program ... the 5-10 guard led ISU to its first-ever conference title in 2000 and two-straight Big 12 Conference Tournament championships ... the four-time all-conference honoree led the Cyclones to four NCAA Tournament berths, including two Sweet Sixteen appearances and a trip to the Elite Eight.
