ISU Softball Takes Part in Fall Hawkeye Classic

AMES, Iowa ? The Iowa State softball team will compete in the 2004 Fall Hawkeye Classic, Sept. 18-19 at Iowa's Pearl Field in Iowa City. Teams included in the tournament are North Dakota State, Drake and Iowa. Iowa is hosting the tournament.

The Cyclones first game is against North Dakota State on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. ISU will then play Drake at 1 p.m. On Sunday, the Cyclones will finish up their participation in the tournament with a 3:30 game against Drake and a 5:30 p.m. match up with Iowa.

The Cyclones will continue their fall season on Sept. 25-26 when they travel to Cedar Falls to take part in the Big Four Challenge. The tournament includes Iowa State, Iowa, Drake and Northern Iowa.

Saturday, Sept. 18

Iowa State vs. North Dakota State, 11 a.m.

Iowa State vs. Drake, 1 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 19

Iowa State vs. Drake, 3:30 p.m.

Iowa State vs. Iowa, 5:30 p.m.
