NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Anne O'Neil scored 21 points to lead No. 18 Iowa State past Oklahoma 73-60 on Saturday.
Iowa State (16-2, 6-1), the best 3-point shooting team in the Big 12 conference, made 13-of-27 shots from behind the arc. Mary Fox led the 3-point barrage with four, and finished with 14 points. Lyndsey Medder had 13 points, including three 3s.
Erin Higgins and Dionnah Jackson led the Sooners (11-7, 3-4) with 16 points each.
Oklahoma jumped out to a 6-2 lead, then Iowa State made its first five 3-point attempts. The Cyclones didn't miss from the floor until 13:10 remaining when Mary Fox's leaner missed the mark.
Oklahoma stayed close, with the teams swapping the lead 15 times through the first half and neither team leading by more than six points.
Iowa State shot 50 percent from 3-point range in the first half to help the Cyclones lead 40-34 at the break. The Cyclones led by as many as 13 in the second half, and their lead never dipped below five.
Oklahoma shot just 29 percent (21-for-72), the second-worst shooting effort of the season. The Sooners missed 27-of-33 shots from 3-point range.
O'Neil is two points shy of becoming Iowa State's 16th player to score at least 1,000 career points.
