AMES, Iowa - Sophomore Tegan Stuart has announced that she has left the Iowa State women's basketball team to pursue other opportunities.
"I'd like to find a better fit that might allow me to participate in both softball and basketball," Stuart said.
The 5-6 guard played in 21 games off the bench for the Cyclones, averaging 11 minutes per outing. She averaged two points per game, dishing 16 assists while playing primarily as a defensive specialist. Stuart was an All-American centerfielder for Raymore-Peculiar High School in Missouri, leading her squad to the state championship as a senior.
"We appreciate Tegan's contributions and wish her nothing but the best in the future," ISU head coach Bill Fennelly said.
