Ranked 24th nationally, the Iowa State men's cross country team will compete against over 80 teams at the Pre-Nationals Invitational held in Terre Haute, Ind., on the same course that the 2006 NCAA National Cross Country Championships will be held in November.
Led by sophomore Kiel Uhl, the team will run up against 22 other nationally ranked teams in the top 30, as well as six other Big 12 teams.
“We're looking forward to solidifying our ranking and hopefully move up in the rankings as well,” said men's head coach Corey Ihmels. “We don't need to do anything spectacular this weekend. We just need to go out and run solid.”
