The meet will begin on Friday with the women's weight throw at 3 p.m. and running events will start at 3:15 p.m. with the women's 5,000-meter run. Saturday's events will begin at 10:25 a.m. with the women's 3,000-meter run and the field events will start at 11:30 a.m. with the women's high jump.
“The meet will be much stronger than it's been in the past because UNI will be here as well as several of the top junior colleges that weren't here last year,” said men's head coach Steve Lynn. “I expect it to be a very competitive meet, and everybody in each event is going to face competition.”
The Cyclones competed in the Holiday Preview in December at the Lied Recreation Facility, but this meet will included races not held at the Preview such as the 400 meters and the 600-yard run.
Top runners for the Cyclones in the two day event will be Elijah Braimah, Jared Lewis and Jared Graham in the 400 meters, Kellen Burl and Eric Parker in the 60-meter hurdles and Kevin Born and Guor Majak in the 3,000 meters.
