NORMAN, Okla. ? The sixth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners put together a balanced performance to defeat the Iowa State women's basketball team, 69-49, Wednesday night at Lloyd Noble Arena.

With the loss, Iowa State fell to 15-5 on the season and 3-4 in the Big 12. Oklahoma improved to 17-1 on the year and 7-0 in the league, stretching its unbeaten conference streak to 24 straight in regular-season play.

Senior Megan Ronhovde led the Cyclones with 13 points, including going 3-of-5 from outside the arc, while fellow senior Lyndsey Medders turned in 10 points on the night. Toccara Ross had nine points and led ISU in rebounding with six boards. The Sooners had three players in double figures with All-American Courtney Paris leading the way with 14 points and 13 boards.

ISU sophomore Nicky Wieben moved up to third place on the Iowa State career blocked shots list. With four blocks on the night she now has 98 for her career, which is four shy of the second-place mark.

The Cyclones got to within six points, 30-24, to start the second half, when Toccara Ross drained a three, and Medders got a layup to close the gap again, 32-26. But Oklahoma answered with a 13-3 run that put the Sooners up 45-29 and the Cyclones never cut the lead back under double digits.

The Cyclones cut Oklahoma's halftime lead to nine points, 28-19, after getting down by as many as 16, 28-12. Iowa State went on a 7-0 run to close out the first period. Iowa State shot 25.9 percent from the floor, including going 3-of-15 from three-point range. But the difference was on the glass, as the Sooners grabbed 27 boards to the Cyclones' 16. ISU held Courtney Paris to six points in the first 20 minutes, as she went 3-of-9 from the field.

Iowa State improved its shooting in the second half to 34.5 percent, and finished the game at 30.4 percent from the floor. The Sooners outrebounded ISU, 48-29, on the night. Oklahoma finished shooting 44.4 percent from the field after a 53.3 percent showing in the second half.

The Cyclones return home to play host to the Kansas State Wildcats at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hilton Coliseum.
