AMES, Iowa. - The Iowa State tennis team will host two Big 12 Conference foes this weekend at the Ames Racquet and Fitness Center. The Cyclones will host the 63rd-ranked Kansas State Wildcats at 4 p.m. Friday. ISU will then play host to the Kansas Jayhawks at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Cyclones, 4-3 (0-3), are coming off a weekend split at Northern Colorado and Colorado. The Cyclones defeated Northern Colorado, 4-3, and than dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 47 Colorado.
Kansas State, 2-4 (0-0), will play its first Big 12 Conference match on Friday against the Cyclones. The Wildcats are currently on a three-match losing streak, but all three of those losses were to nationally-ranked teams, with their most current setback coming to No. 49 New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M.
Kansas, 2-8 (0-2), is coming off a weekend loss to No. 40 Oklahoma State, as the Cowgirls defeated the Jayhawks 6-1. KU's two dual wins came against Drake and Utah.
