Quade and Ford each went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs to lead the Cyclones (4-13). Alex Johnson also finished with two hits, going 2-for-4.
Stevie Crisosto hit a two-out double to right center in the second inning to score Betsy Wilson and make it 5-0 in favor of the Jayhawks.
Quade's first home run of the season, a two-run shot to left center, closed the gap to 5-2 after four innings. Alex Johnson, who singled up the middle to lead off the inning, came around to score on the Quade blast.
The Cyclones again threatened in the bottom of the fifth, putting runners on first and third before
Courtney Wray reached in the seventh inning for the Cyclones, but ISU was unable to get anything else going against Sarah Vertelka, who picked her first save.
Katie Reichling (0-3) took the loss for the Cyclones, pitching 1.2 innings and allowing five runs.
