AMES, Iowa- Iowa State's men's track and field team splits up this weekend as the sprinters and field performers head south for the Missouri Relays in Columbia, Mo., while the distance runners travel west to compete in the Stanford Invitational in
ISU sprinters hope to continue their strong surge this outdoors season. Kellen Burl looks to regionally qualify in the 110-meter hurdles after running a 14.29 for sixth place last week in
Zac Brouillette and Robbie Utterback both recorded top ten finishes last week, and look to improve this week. The newcomers finished fourth and seventh respectively in the shot put. Utterback also placed second in the discus throw.
Relays performed excellently as well last week. The 4x400 meter, consisting of Tony Stanfield, Elijah Braimah, Jared Graham and Jared Lewis, continued its success from the indoor season, placing first with a time of 3:08.23. The same four took second in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:23.58.

Events for the Missouri Relays begin at 2 p.m. on Friday with the javelin throw. The Stanford Invitational starts at 11:05 a.m. on Friday. Both times are Central Daylight Time.
