Big 12 Wrestling Championships Multimedia

Iowa State won its first Big 12 wrestling crown, the school's first conference title in 20 years and the first outright Cyclone team conference championship in a quarter century Saturday at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo. The Cyclones finished with 66.5 points. Missouri was second with 61.5, followed by Oklahoma State with 61, Nebraska with 46 and Oklahoma with 44.

David Zabriskie earned top-honors at heavyweight and clinched the team title for ISU. The Cyclones other champion was Trent Paulson as he claimed his second Big 12 title at 157pounds. Cyler Sanderson (149), Travis Paulson (165) and Jake Varner (184) finished runner-up in their respective weight class. Iowa State qualified all 10 wrestlers for the NCAA Championship March 15 – 17 in Detroit, Mich.
