AMES, Iowa -- Three members of the Iowa State women's track and field team have been selected to compete at the 2007 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships March 9-10 in Fayetteville, Ark.
Senior Agata Kosuda was selected to compete in the triple jump. She goes into the competition with a best effort of 43-6, ranking her 11th heading into the competition. Kosuda made her qualifying leap on Saturday at the ISU NCAA Qualifier, breaking the Cyclone school record of 42-9 ? that she set the week prior at the Big 12 indoor championships.
Senior Rebecca Williams will compete in the NCAA Championships in the 60-meter hurdles. Williams goes into the meet with a time of 8.19 that ranks her 14th in the field. Williams was the 2007 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field 60-meter hurdles champion.
Rounding out the women's qualifiers is freshman Lisa Koll. The Ft. Dodge, Iowa, native will compete in the 5,000-meter run. Koll posted a time of 16:15.65 at the ISU NCAA Qualifier to rank her 15th going into the NCAA Championships.
Williams will be the first to compete for the Cyclones at 5:05 p.m. on Friday in preliminary competition. Koll is set to run at 7:50 p.m. on Friday and Kosuda will compete on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
