ISU Signee Earns All-America Honors

AMES, Iowa ? Incoming Iowa State women's basketball transfer Jocelyn Anderson has been named to the NJCAA Division II basketball All-America second team.

Anderson will play for the Cyclones next season as a 6-4 junior center. The Gowrie, Iowa, native has played her last two seasons at Des Moines Area Community College. She averaged 15.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 5.3 blocks per game last season as a sophomore.

Anderson was also named to the all-Region first team, the all-Region all-Academic first team, and the regional all-tournament squad. She led the DMACC Bears to a 25-6 overall record and a 13-2 conference mark. Her team was ranked as high as 12th nationally ranking. Anderson also helped the Bears advance to the championship game in the regional tournament.
