Cyclones Face Oklahoma In Big 12 Action

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State (20-28, 0-4 Big 12) travels to Norman, Okla., to face third-ranked Oklahoma in a Friday doubleheader. The series was originally scheduled to be played on Friday and Saturday but poor weather is expected in Norman this weekend. The first game will start at 3 p.m.

The Sooners (39-4, 5-2 Big 12) are one of the top hitting teams in the country, boasting a .345 batting average as a team ... the difference between this year's team and the 2006 version of OU softball has been the pitching staff ... OU has a 1.60 ERA this season after recording a team ERA of 2.97 last season when it finished 40-21-1 overall and just 8-10 in the conference ... third baseman Norelle Dickson is one of the best hitters in the country and has an impressive .508 batting average to lead the Sooners ...
