2007 Cross Country Schedule Released

Iowa State released its 2007 cross country schedule, announced today by first-year track and field coordinator Corey Ihmels.
The Cyclones will play host to one meet during the season, the ISU Open on Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. Iowa State will kickoff the 2007 season at the Drake Fall Classic on Aug. 31 at 3:30 p.m. in Des Moines.
The men's cross country team returns junior Kiel Uhl for the 2007 season. Uhl competed in the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in both his freshman and sophomore seasons. In the 2006 Midwest Region Championships, Uhl recorded a fourth-place finish that earned him All-Region honors. He was also crowned the U.S. junior national champion in 2005.
Junior Lisa Koll returns for the women after earning All-American honors in 2006, finishing 36th at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. Koll also earned All-Region honors after a seventh-place finish at the Midwest Region Championships.
