Olympian Lolo Jones to Host Hurdles Clinic

AMES, Iowa - High school track athletes and coaches will have the chance to receive world-class hurdle instruction from one of the top hurdlers in the world ? Iowa's own Lolo Jones!
US Olympian Lolo Jones will be the featured presenter at the Lolo Jones: Learn By Doing Hurdles Clinic hosted by Championship Productions and ISU Track & Field Camps. The clinic will be held Saturday, Dec. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Iowa State's Lied Recreation Center on the ISU Indoor Track in Ames, Iowa.
“We are extremely excited to have Lolo on campus for this clinic,” said Corey Ihmels, Iowa State University Director of Men's and Women's Track and Cross Country. “It will be great for the young hurdlers in attendance to learn from an athlete of Lolo's stature whose hard work and dedication have enabled her to achieve at the highest level.”
Other clinicians include Kim Carson, a former All-American Hurdler and Lolo Jones' advisor, along with members of the Iowa State University Track & Field Coaching staff.
The 2-hour clinic will be followed by a question and answer and autograph sessions.
Costs for the clinic will be $35 for on-the-track participants (limited to the first 100 athletes that register). Participants must be in the 9th Grade or above and bring workout clothing and running shoes.
As Jones will be donating a portion of the clinic fees to the Embrace Iowa flood relief charity, coaches, parents, non-participating athletes and spectators will be allowed to watch the instruction and learn from the clinic staff for a $10 fee. This includes the Q&A and autograph sessions. Spectators may pre register or register at the door the day of the clinic.
Pre-Registration is required for those wishing to participate on the track. Register at www.ChampionshipProductions.com before December 10, 2008. Registration requirements also include the submission of completed Liability Release & Medical Authorization form. Spectators may pre register or register at the door the day of the clinic.
