Cyclone Notebook
- ISU (26-19, 3-6 Big 12) looks to win its third-straight Big 12 game Thursday when it travels to Lincoln, Neb., to face Nebraska (17-21, 1-8). ISU hasn't won three-straight league games since 2002.
- The Cyclones defeated Nebraska, 13-4, Tuesday to win its second straight and will look to take back-to-back games against the Huskers for the first time since 1994. The Cyclones last won in Lincoln in 1995.
- On Tuesday against the Huskers, Iowa State scored 11 runs in the sixth without recording an out. Alex Johnson had a grand slam in the inning and Ariel Coburn added a three-run homer that ended the game in the sixth, snapping Nebraska's streak of 139 conference games without being run-ruled. Charissa Carlin got the win, tossing just two-thirds of an inning.
- The 13 runs is the most for ISU in Big 12 play since April 15, 2006 when the Cyclones hung 14 on Texas A&M.
- The Cyclones' three homers against Nebraska gives them a school-record 28 on the season. ISU needs just five RBI to break the school record in that category as well (159 in 2007).
- Three Cyclones are on the verge of reaching 100 career hits. Sophomore Courtney Wray needs just two hits while Kristy Olsen and Alex Johnson are seven hits shy.
- Iowa State's leading hitter Ariel Coburn had her best game since returning from a broken wrist. Coburn finished 2-for-3 with two homers and a career-high five RBI.
- Amanda Bradberry has reached base safely in 12 of the last 13 games and is hitting .364 during that stretch. Bradberry has had a hit in 10 of the 13 games.
- Sydni Jones and Coburn are tied for the team-lead with a .333 average in Big 12 play. Coburn, Johnson and Jones have driven in five runs each in league play.
- Courtney Wray is hitting .400 (6-for-15) in her last five games. Wray is ninth in the Big 12 with a .368 average on the season and her 50 hits ranks fifth in the Big 12.
- Coburn has 15 extra base hits and eight homers. Her .756 slugging percentage is second in the league behind only Missouri's Jen Bruck (.781).
- The Cyclones are tied for second in the Big 12 with nine triples on the season.
- ISU has turned a league-best 18 double plays on the season.
- ISU has four players with 20+ RBI for the first time since the inception of the Big 12 (1996).
Stat of the Week
- Iowa State set a new mark for single-season home runs against Nebraska on Tuesday. With three homers against the Huskers, the new Iowa State mark reached 28 with at least 12 games remaining. ISU has five homers in Big 12 play after hitting none a year ago.
Scouting Nebraska (17-21, 1-8 Big 12)

- Against the Cyclones on Tuesday, Crystal Carwile went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs. Carwile homered in the fourth inning off of Rachel Zabriskie. Molly Hill took the loss in relief of Alex Hupp. Hill allowed six runs in 1.2 innings of work.
- The Huskers had seven hits as a team compared to eight for Iowa State but were hampered by five walks and two hit batters.

Centerfielder Meghan Mullin is second on the team with a .342 average while leading the team with 16 stolen bases on 19 attempts.
