Pulsawath Wins Publinks Sectional Qualifier

AMES, Iowa ? Iowa State junior golfer Pennapa Pulsawath carded a 75 at The Harvester Golf Course to earn medalist honors at the Women's Amateur Public Links sectional qualifier. The victory advances Pulsawath to the 2008 U.S. Women's Amateur Publinks Championship at the Erin Hills Golf Course, June 16-21 in Erin, Wis. In January of 2007, Golf Magazine rated the Erin Hills Golf Course the “Best New Course of Year.”
ISU will be well represented at the Publinks Championship as Pulsawath joins teammate Ana North and former teammate Karly Pinder, who qualified at other sectionals. North qualified by shooting a 78 at the Erin, Wis., region, while Pinder tied for first at the Ann Arbor, Mich. sectional after carding a 79.
