In wins over Big Ten foes Iowa and Minnesota, Lacey averaged 21 points, seven rebounds and eight assists per game. In the 85-66 win over Iowa, the 6-foot guard posted just the second triple-double in school history and the 13th in Big 12 Conference history. “Aus (Lacey) had a great week,” ISU head coach Bill Fennelly said. “She was not just the best player in the Big 12 this week, but I don't know if there was a player in the entire country who played better. She was tough at both ends of the floor in leading us to two wins over Big Ten teams in a span of four days.”
For the week, Lacey shot 42.3 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc. She also went 16-for-16 from the free throw line in the two games combined. She has moved into 11th place on the Iowa State career scoring chart with 1,285 points.
Lacey has posted double figures in every game this season, but even more impressive are her assist numbers. The senior is averaging 8.4 assists per contest, while committing just 1.7 turnovers per game. In NCAA statistics released Monday, the Canberra, Australia, native ranked in the top three nationally in four categories. She leads the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (5.15) and ranks third in assists per game (8.4), free-throw percentage (.957) and triple-doubles (1).
