Cyclones Head South For Florida Tournament

AMES, Iowa ? The Iowa State women's golf team will compete in its second tournament of the spring season at the Central District Invitational, Feb. 16-17, in Parrish, Fla. The Cyclones will be one of 15 teams teeing off at the 7072-yard, par-72 River Wilderness Golf and Country Club. First- and second-round action will be played Monday, and the tournament will conclude on Tuesday with 18 holes in the final round.

The Cyclones will be competing against some of the best teams in the country, including No. 8 Duke, No. 10 Auburn and No. 14 LSU. Big 12 opponents Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri will also be competing.
ISU looks to improve after posting a 13th place finish at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic earlier this week. Pennapa Pulsawath continues to lead the Cyclones, placing in the top-35 in five of six meets this golf season. Along with Pulsawath, other Cyclones making the trip are: Victoria Stefansen, Kristin Paulson, Rachel Reed and Laurence Herman.
