In order to give Cyclone fans an inside look at the Iowa State women's basketball team throughtout the season, head coach Bill Fennelly and members of the ISU team will be posting a weekly blog at cyclones.com on each Tuesday throughout the school year.
Fans will have a chance to hear directly from Coach Fennelly throughout the season about how practice is going, how the team is doing during the season, and what he sees as the staples of the ISU women's basketball program. Players will talk to you each week about their perspective of school life, practices, games, and the daily hurdles of being a Division I student-athlete.
Senior Jocelyn Anderon chimes in this week about her final Cyclone season as it slowly comes to a close. Check back next week to hear from Ashley Arlen from the complete opposite perspective, as she is finishing her first season in an Iowa State uniform.

Hello to all the Cyclones out there! I want to say thank you to everyone who came out in support of the Pink Zone game on Sunday. We can always count on you Cyclone fans!
There have been some high and low points in our basketball season since the last time I've spoken with you. It is a crazy time filled with excitement and disappointments. As we hit the middle of February, we all notice how close the end of the season is now. It is funny how that sort of thing can sneak up on you. It seems like just yesterday that we were going through preseason workouts and playing in exhibition games.

As a senior, I will only have a few more chances to travel with the team, get those butterflies in my stomach before stepping on the floor, and play in the amazing environment of Hilton Coliseum. Then, it is off to the ?real world' (both a scary and exciting thought)!
As a team, we will work hard to make the end of our season a good one. The possibilities of what could happen in the Big 12 Tournament, and hopes for NCAA Tournament play have us focused and ready to go. I have enjoyed my time with this team at Iowa State University more than I can express to you, and I am excited to see what we can do as this season comes closer to the end.
