Iowa State to Play Host to Two Big 12 Teams

AMES, Iowa ? Iowa State's tennis team will play host to two Big 12 squads this weekend at the Ames Racquet and Fitness Center. On Friday, the Cyclones will compete against Texas at 1 p.m. Play will continue on Saturday, at 3:30 p.m. as the Cyclones take on the Texas A&M.
Iowa State is now 8-6 this season and 1-4 in the Big 12 Conference. The Cyclones recently earned their first league win since 2002 over Kansas State, 4-3, on March 13.
Texas recently upset the No. 24 Texas A&M, 5-2. Longhorn Maggie Mello was the Big 12 Conference tennis player of the week on March 9, following the win over the Aggies. Texas is 8-4 overall and 4-0 in the Big 12.
Texas A&M is now ranked 36th nationally by the ITA. The Aggies are 7-6 overall and 3-1 in the Big 12.
