Tucson, Ariz. ? Pennapa Pulsawath led the Iowa State women's golf team into a tie for 12th place Saturday at the Mountain View Collegiate in Tucson, Ariz. The junior from Bangkok, Thailand led all Cyclones as she carded a 150 (76-74) and is now in a tie for 34th place. As a team the Cyclones fired a two-round 606 tally (308-298) to sit in a tie for 12th place among 18 teams.
No. 19 San Jose State stayed under par as a team and is sitting in front with an impressive two-round 571 score. UNLV, Louisville, Colorado State and Nebraska round out the remaining top five.
Sophomores Laurence Herman and Rachel Reed both carded 151s on Saturday and will start action tomorrow in a tie for 38th place. San Jose State's Erica Moston and Cristina Corpus share the individual lead both carding a 140 in the first two rounds of action.
The final round of the Mountain View Collegiate will conclude tomorrow morning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Results will be posted on cyclones.com.
