In order to give Cyclone fans an inside look at the Iowa State women's basketball team throughtout the season, head coach Bill Fennelly and members of the ISU team will be posting a weekly blog at cyclones.com on each Tuesday throughout the school year.
Fans will have a chance to hear directly from Coach Fennelly throughout the school year about how practice is going, how the team is doing during the season, and what he sees as the staples of the ISU women's basketball program. Players will talk to you each week about their perspective of school life, practices, games, and the daily hurdles of being a Division I student-athlete.
Kelsey Bolte teamed up with her fellow teammates in the dorms to write this edition of CYber CYd. Bolte and the four freshmen live in the dorms and collaborated to tell you what meant the most to them in the final weeks of the season. Most women's basketball CYber CYd entries are posted on Tuesday, but because of NCAA travel and a hectic day of classes on Wednesday, the five Cyclones reported in on Thursday this week. Please check back on Tuesday to see what Coach Fennelly has to say about the season past.
Hello Cyclone fans and greeting from the dorm girls!
What a season! We have accomplished so much and have made so many memories along the way. We cannot begin to tell you how proud we are to be Cyclones, to be a part of this program, and to have so much support from all of you. Although our homework has piled up substantially, we would not have it any other way. We not only got the opportunity to travel from the beaches of Hawaii to the rolling hills of Bowling Green, Ky., but we also got to compete against and beat some of the nation's top teams. However, as most of you already know, we ended our travels in California on Monday after we lost in the NCAA Regional Final (Elite 8 baby!), but the memories of this year will last forever.

Not only do we want to thank our great fans who traveled along with us on road games, but we also want to thank all the fans back home who were yelling at the TV during our games and providing Hilton Magic from afar! Thank you to the band and cheer squad who traveled along on our entire NCAA Tournament experience. You brought the magic into E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Ky., and into Haas Pavilion in Berkeley, Calif.
We also want to thank the ISU faculty for all of their support throughout our journey. A big thank you to all of our understanding professors back here at ISU! Lastly, we want to thank the seniors, Nicky, T, Joce, Ez, and Niz, for their commitment to the Iowa State women's basketball program. It was a great ending to their college basketball journey and we were happy to be able to share these special memories with them!
Go Cyclones, see you next year!
