Iowa State to Face Non-Conference Foes

AMES, Iowa ? The Iowa State tennis team will travel to Omaha on Wednesday to compete against the University of Nebraska-Omaha at 4 p.m. On Saturday, the Cyclones will play host to Coe College at the Ames Racquet and Fitness Center beginning at 11 a.m. in the final home meet of the season.
Last weekend, the Cyclones competed against two Big 12 opponents in Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. ISU is now 8-10 overall and 1-8 in conference play.
“We have competed hard in the last couple of matches, and this coming week we have to continue to do so against UNO and Coe College,” Iowa State head coach Armando Espinosa said. “They are both good teams and it will be good for us to play two quality opponents before we conclude the Big 12 season.”
The Mavs are 7-8 overall and 4-2 in conference play. The Kohawks are 17-7 overall and undefeated in conference play with an 8-0 record.
