AMES, Iowa - Expected rain in Ames this weekend has forced Iowa State and Oklahoma to play a Friday doubleheader at the Southwest Athletic Complex. First pitch for game one is slated for 11 a.m. with live stats available for both games at Cyclones.com.

Cyclone Notebook
- After earning its first back-to-back wins over rival Iowa since 1990, the Iowa State softball team will play host to No. 13 Oklahoma in a Big 12 doubleheader Friday.
- The Cyclones are 22-13 and winners of nine of their last 10 games. Iowa State's 9-1 record during the stretch is tied with Oklahoma State for tops in the Big 12.
- The Cyclones are hitting .301 over the last 10 games.
- Against the Hawkeyes, Heidi Kidwell led the Cyclones going 3-for-4. It was the sophomore's fourth three-hit game of the season. ISU had 11 hits as a team.
- Rachel Zabriskie, Iowa State's career strikeout (551) and wins (51) leader, won her second-straight start, allowing three runs on five hits.
- ISU is seventh in the Big 12 in hitting (.293) and ninth in pitching (2.96). In the last 10 games the ISU pitching staff has posted a 1.72 ERA and has held opponents to a .204 batting average.
- The Cyclones lead the Big 12 with 10 triples this season. Four teams follow in second with five triples.
- Zabriskie (18-7) is leading the Big 12 in wins and is second in strikeouts (186) this season. Zabriskie is looking to become the first player in ISU history to record 200 strikeouts in a season twice in a career.
- Bianca Lopez has played a major role in the Cyclones' recent success. The sophomore is hitting .375 with six doubles and two triples during the stretch. Lopez has driven in eight runs in the last 10 games. She had driven in just five in the first 59 games of her career.
- Alex Johnson and Courtney Wray continue their climb up the career hits chart. Johnson is second with 180 hits and Wray is third with 175. Kelsey Kidwell has also jumped into the top-10 and currently sits seventh with 148 career base knocks.
- Heidi Kidwell, who is leading the Cyclones this season with a .380 batting average, has moved into the top-10 all-time at ISU. Kidwell just recently reached the minimum at bats and ranks second with a .328 career batting average.
- Heidi Kidwell is third in the Big 12 with 46 hits. She needs seven to break into ISU's single-season top-10.
Series Notes Against Oklahoma
- Oklahoma has a 55-28 lead in the all-time series and has won eight in a row dating back to 2006.
- The Cyclones last win over the Sooners came on April 22, 2006. In that game, ISU defeated OU 5-2 at the Southwest Athletic Complex. The Sooners were ranked No. 22 at the time.
- The Cyclones lost 3-0 to Oklahoma last spring at the Big 12 Championships. Iowa State out hit Oklahoma, five to four, in the game.
Cyclones Stinging The Ball
- Iowa State is hitting .293 as a team, well above the school record of .270 set in 1995.
ISU has six players with at least 50 at bats hitting over .300.
You Take Two
- Iowa State beat intrastate rival Iowa in back-to-back games for the first time since 1990.
The Cyclones beat the Hawkeyes, 8-2, at the Metrodome Classic and then took the Hy-Vee Cy-Hawk Series contest, 7-3, in Ames.
