AMES, Iowa - Iowa State returns home after a four-game road trip to host Nebraska Thursday afternoon at the Southwest Athletic Complex. The Cyclones (23-19, 1-5 Big 12) and Huskers (24-17, 3-3) will meet at 4 p.m.

Cyclone Notebook
- Iowa State snapped a six-game losing streak Tuesday against Northern Iowa and will look to build on it Thursday when it hosts Big 12 foe Nebraska.
- Nebraska is 24-17 overall and 3-3 in league action heading into the week. The Huskers will play at Kansas Wednesday before coming to Ames for Thursday's game.
- The Cyclones defeated the Panthers, 6-0, in Cedar Falls. ISU pounded out 11 hits, the most since having 11 against Iowa on March 31.
- ISU's four through seven hitters went 9-for-14 in the game and Rachel Zabriskie allowed just one hit over six innings of work to pick up her 19th win this season.
- Iowa State needs just three wins to tie its total from 2009, when it finished 26-29. With at least 13 games left, the Cyclones are looking to win 30 games in a season for the first time since 1989 (32-18-1).
- Rachel Zabriskie has 219 strikeouts this season. The junior is first player in ISU history to record 200 strikeouts in a season twice in a career.
- Zabriskie needs 14 strikeouts to tie the single-season record of 233, which was set by Suzanne Wedemeier in 1982.
- Carleigh Berry is 5-for-11 in the last four games, having hit safely in each contest.
- Heidi Kidwell has recorded three hits in five different games this season. The sophomore has 53 hits and is tied for ninth on the single-season chart. She needs two more to move up to eighth.
- Heidi Kidwell's 53 hits leads the Big 12 heading into Wednesday's games. Nebraska's Heidi Foland is second with 52.
- Alex Johnson and Wray continue their climb up the career hits chart. Johnson is second with 185 hits and Wray is third with 181. Kelsey Kidwell has also jumped into the top-10 and currently sits seventh with 154 career base knocks.
- Johnson is the school record holder for runs batted in (126) and doubles (38).
Series Notes Against Nebraska
- Nebraska leads the all-time series 68-20, including 21-9 in games played in Ames.
- The Cyclones and Huskers have split the last two season series.
- In 2008, Iowa State defeated Nebraska 13-4 in Ames. It is the largest margin of victory for the Cyclones in the history of the series.
