AMES, Iowa - The 17th-ranked Iowa State women's basketball team looks for its sixth win in a row Tuesday when it hosts North Dakota State in its final tuneup before opening Big 12 play. The Cyclones and Bison will tipoff at 7 p.m.

- Winners of five straight, Iowa State continues play Tuesday against North Dakota State in its final nonconference game of the season.
- The Cyclones started the season 11-2 or better for the fifth season in a row. With a win Tuesday, it would mark the 13th time in 16 seasons under Fennelly that Iowa State lost two or fewer games during the nonconference portion of the schedule.
- ISU has been ranked in the Associated Press top-25 for 23-straight weeks.
- The Cyclones went 3-0 last week with wins over Chicago State, Florida A&M and Prairie View A&M.
- Chelsea Poppens has been outstanding over the last five games, averaging 13.2 points and 10.2 rebounds. Poppens poured in 18 to go along with 15 rebounds against Prairie View and followed that with 17 points and eight boards against Chicago State.
- During the recent winning streak, Iowa State is shooting 47.2 percent as a team while limiting opponents to just a 29.4 shooting percentage. The Cyclones have won the last five games by an average of 27.8 points per game.
- Freshman post Hallie Christofferson has been in double-figures seven times this season, including each of the last five games. Christofferson hit a career-high three 3-pointers and scored 17 points against Chicago State.
- Lauren Mansfield has recorded five or more assists 10 times this season. Mansfield is averaging 8.3 assists in the last four games.
- Bolte, who has made 227 career 3-pointers, sits 13 shy of Alison Lacey for fifth all-time at Iowa State.
- Mansfield is leading the Big 12 and ranks fifth in the country (as of 1-2) with 6.7 assists per game.
- Iowa State has won 57 straight regular-season non-conference contests at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones have not lost a regular-season non-conference game at home since the 2003-04 season (Washington).

A Closer Look at North Dakota State
- North Dakota State arrives in Ames having lost three of its last four games and sitting at 6-6 this season.
- The Bison dropped an 82-71 road contest in a Summit League game at Southern Utah on Friday. NDSU is 2-5 on the road this season.
- Four players average 12 points or more for the well balanced team out of Fargo, N.D. Junior Katie Birkel leads all scorers averaging 16.6 per game. She is on the Nancy Lieberman Award watch list.
- Birkel is joined in double-figures by Danielle DeGagne (12.9), Janae Burich (12.2) and Abby Plucker (12.1). Plucker grabs 10.4 rebounds per game, while the 6-5 Burich averages 2.6 blocks per contest.
- The Bison are coached by Carolyn DeHoff, who is 37-32 in her third year with the program. DeHoff was an assistant coach at Utah when it defeated Iowa State in the 2005 NCAA Tournament.
Defensive Mindset
- Iowa State is making opponents work for everything they get. Entering this week, the Cyclones were allowing just 49.9 points per game (fifth in the nation) and opponents were shooting just 31.5 percent (sixth in the nation).
Iowa State opponents are also shooting just 27.0 percent from behind the arc.
