- Iowa State hosts Texas Monday night in a nationally televised game on ESPN2. The game is being touted as a "White Out" game and fans are encouraged to wear white.
- Iowa State is looking for its 300th win all-time at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones are 299-141 all-time at Hilton Coliseum.
- ISU has been ranked in the Associated Press top-25 for 30-straight weeks.
- Iowa State is now 18-8 overall and 6-6 in Big 12 play after beating Colorado 71-45 Saturday at Hilton Coliseum. The 26-point margin of victory was ISU's most against a league foe since Jan. 20, 2007, a 27-point win at Kansas.
- Kelsey Bolte tallied 17 points, including 14 in the second half, to lead four Cyclones in double figures. Lauren Mansfield (13), Jessica Schroll (11) and Anna Prins (10) also scored double digits.
- The Cyclones hit five 3-pointers to tie an NCAA record by hitting a long ball in their 510th game in a row. Canisius had held the record until it went 0-for-12 from behind the arc Friday against Iona. With a 3-pointer Monday Iowa State will set a new record for most consecutive games.
- Mansfield was in double figures for the first time in six games. Her last double-digit performance came against Missouri when she tallied 14 points. Mansfield also had three assists and no turnovers, the first turnover-free game of the junior point guard's career.
- Bolte's 17.9 points per game is the highest by a Cyclone since Lindsey Wilson's 19.3 in 2003.
- In conference action, Bolte is third among Big 12 players averaging 20.7 points per game. Bolte has nine 20-point games in conference play.
- Bolte is one of the nation's top shooters. The senior ranks eighth in three-point field goal percentage at 45.5 percent and 26th in 3-pointers made per game (2.7). She is also ninth nationally in free-throw percentage (90.7).
- Hallie Christofferson has been in double-figures 13 times this season. She was recently named Big 12 freshman of the week after scoring a career-high 21 points at Kansas and grabbing 11 rebounds against Kansas State.
- Lauren Mansfield has recorded five or more assists 17 times this season. She is second in the Big 12 and ranks 14th in the country (as of 2-13) with 5.5 assists per game.
- Bolte, who has made 259 career 3-pointers, sits 15 shy of Stacy Frese for third all-time at Iowa State.
- Bolte has made 36 of her last 38 free throws dating back to the Nebraska game on Jan. 26.
- Since Fennelly's arrival, Iowa State is 214-35 (.859) in games played at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones have never lost more than five home games in a season under Fennelly.
- The Cyclones have an overall record of 588-510 (.536) and are 299-141 (.679) all-time at Hilton Coliseum.
- ISU has made 11 trips to the NCAA Championships and is one of just 20 teams to boast four straight NCAA berths, and one of just five squads to make the NCAA Sweet 16 in the last two seasons. Iowa State also has a pair of Elite Eight berths.
- ISU has finished in the top four of the Big 12 final standings in four of the last six campaigns, and Iowa State has the third-best conference record in Big 12 history (145-91). Only Oklahoma and Baylor have posted a better Big 12 record.
A Closer Look at Texas
- Texas lost at Oklahoma 91-62 Saturday afternoon to drop to 17-9 overall and 6-6 in Big 12 play. The loss was the most lopsided of the season for the Longhorns.
- Three players scored in double-figures for the Longhorns against Oklahoma. Chassidy Fussell and Kathleen Nash had 17 points each and Tiffany Moore chipped in 13 for UT, which shot 34.7 percent and committed 25 turnovers.
- Four players average double-figures for Texas led by Fussell's 17.8 points per game. Kathleen Nash (14.1), Ashleigh Fontenette (11.8) and Yvonne Anderson (11.0) also average over 10 points. Nash is the Longhorns' leading rebounder grabbing 8.0 boards per game.
- Fussell is the Big 12's top scoring freshman, while also ranking second among rookies in steals (1.52 per game).
- Texas is second in the Big 12 averaging 5.8 blocks per game. Ashley Gayle averages 3.7 blocks per game, which is second in the league behind only Baylor's Brittney Griner.
- Texas coach Gail Goestenkors' coaching career started in Ames. Goestenkors was a graduate assistant coach during the 1985-86 season on Pam Wettig's staff. The team went 19-9 that season.
Series Notes
- Tonight's meeting marks the 20th in the all-time series.
- Iowa State leads the all-time series 10-9, including 5-2 in Ames.
- Fennelly is 10-8 all-time against Texas.
- Iowa State has won the last two meetings and three of the last five. The last four meetings have been split and decided by an average of four points.
- In four career games against Texas, Bolte has averaged 15.5 points per game
- The Cyclones are 224-303 all-time against teams from the Big 12 Conference.
Last Time They Met
- The Cyclones rallied from 14 points down to knock off Texas 73-71 in overtime on Jan. 23, 2010. Alison Lacey hit a 3-pointer with a few seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 68-all. Bolte hit the winning 3-pointer with just over a minute left in overtime.
- Lacey finished with 20 points and Bolte added 19 behind five 3-pointers. Amanda Zimmerman scored 14 points off the bench for the Cyclones.
Trey Bien
- Iowa State has made at least one three-pointer in 510 consecutive games dating back to 1995. That streak is tied for the longest streak in NCAA history with Canisius, which saw its active streak end Friday in a loss to Iona.
The last time the Cyclones didn't hit a 3-pointer was on Feb. 15, 1995 against Missouri. That was the season before Fennelly was hired as head coach of the Cyclones.
Searching For 300th Win At Hilton Coliseum
- Iowa State will be playing for its 300th win all-time at Hilton Coliseum Monday night against Texas. The Cyclones, who are playing their 441st game in the building, moved into Hilton Coliseum full time during the 1982-83 season. Prior to that season Iowa State split time between Hilton Coliseum and the Forker Building on campus.
Iowa State's first win at Hilton Coliseum came on Dec. 1, 1976, a 71-67 victor over intrastate rival Drake. 214 of the wins at Hilton Coliseum have come under the direction of Fennelly, who boasts an impressive .859 winning percentage in the building (214-35). Iowa State's 93 Big 12 home wins are more than any other school in Big 12 history (Baylor is second with 89).
She'll Be There
- In the past four seasons there has been one thing you could count on and that is Bolte taking the court. The senior has never missed a game, suiting up in all 128 career games, eighth all-time at Iowa State. Bolte is one game shy of former teammate, Megan Ronhovde (2003-07), for seventh. The career mark is held by Heather Ezell (2006-09), who played in 135 games.
