AMES, Iowa – Iowa State tennis will make its final trek to Lincoln, Neb. this weekend to face No. 38 Nebraska. Saturday's match will mark the final Big 12 competition between the two schools, and it will also close out regular-season competition for the Cyclones.
Iowa State's record is 10-14, 1-9 Big 12, and the team is hoping to go out with a bang over their tough competitors.
“They're a very talented team,” head coach
Armando Espinosa said. “It's going to take a lot for us to go out on the road and perform, but we've been juggling practice inside and outside and we're prepared to put up a good fight.”
The Huskers are 18-6, 6-4 Big 12, and Saturday's match will be senior day for the Huskers. The match will be played at noon at the 17th and Vine St. Courts, unless poor weather forces the teams inside to the Nebraska Tennis Center.
