AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State women's basketball team hosts No. 17 Texas Tech Sunday afternoon in a nationally televised Big 12 showdown. Fans are encouraged to wear white for a "white out" at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones and Lady Raiders tip off at 1:30 p.m. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Net.

- Iowa State hosts No. 17 Texas Tech Sunday at Hilton Coliseum. The game will be televised by FSN with fans encouraged to wear white as the Cyclones attempt to "white-out" the arena.
- The game will also feature a Special Olympics initiative. The league and Special Olympics are working together to end the use of the word "retarded" by pledging to stop the use of the R-Word. Fans are encouraged to join the cause to Spread the Word to End the Word. Fans can log-on to R-Word.org and digitally pledge to eliminate the use of the R-Word.
- The Cyclones are looking to pick up their first league win Sunday. Iowa State's first six league games feature teams with a combined record of 82-19 (.811).
- Iowa State fell to Texas on Wednesday night at Yvonne Anderson hit a floater in the lane with 0.7 seconds left to give the Longhorns a 62-60 win.
- The Cyclones were led by freshman Nikki Moody's 14 points. Hallie Christofferson was in double-figures for the first time in conference play, finishing with 13 points, and Brynn Williamson hit two threes and finished with 10 points.
- Poppens is averaging 2.6 steals per game over the last six contests. She has 24 steals this season. Her previous high for steals came last season when she finished the season with 20.
- Williamson has heated up from behind the arc after a slow start in the season's first six games (28.6 percent). The guard has shot 44.0 percent (22-of-50) from long range during the last 10 games.
- After averaging 4.2 points per game and shooting 18.8 percent from the field in nonconference games, Prins is averaging 11.6 points and shooting 44.4 percent in conference play. Prins was injured for much of the preseason, which contributed to her slow start.
- Poppens has posted double-digit rebounds in nine of the 15 games she has played in this season. The junior leads the Big 12 and ranks seventh nationally averaging 11.1 rebounds per game.
- Poppens' seven double doubles are second in the Big 12. Only Baylor's Brittney Griner has more with nine.
- Nikki Moody is shooting 87.5 percent (14-16) on free throws over the final five minutes of the game this season.
- Poppens is one of two Big 12 players averaging a double-double (Griner). Her 17 rebounds against Butler tie the Big 12 high for the season (BreAnna Brock, Missouri).
- Poppens needs 14 rebounds to move into eighth place all-time at Iowa State. Kelsey Bolte (2008-11) is currently eighth with 665 career boards.
- Iowa State has an all-time record of 600-520 (.536), including 363-167 (.685) under the direction of Fennelly.

- Poppens has seven double-doubles in 15 games played this season. She has posted double-digit rebounds in 13-of-her-last-19 games dating back to last season.
- Brynn Williamson has made at least one 3-pointer in 15 of Iowa State's 16 games this season. She has hit multiple threes in 12 games.
