AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State women's basketball team hosts the nation's top-ranked team Baylor Saturday evening in its Big 12 home opener. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. with Mediacom showing the game in tape delay at 9 p.m.

- Iowa State welcomes the nation's top-ranked team Saturday evening when Baylor visits Hilton Coliseum. It marks the first time the Cyclones have hosted the No. 1 team in the Associated Press poll.
- The Cyclones are 11-4 in Big 12 home openers.
- Iowa State opened league play Wednesday night, falling at Oklahoma 80-51. The Cyclones led 18-12 before the Sooners closed the half on a 21-2 run to take control of the game.
- The Sooners were the first team to hand ISU a loss with three or more Cyclones scoring in double figures. Chelsea Poppens led the way with 12 points, Anna Prins chipped in 11 and Chassidy Cole scored a career-high 10 in the loss.
- Freshman Brynn Williamson has heated up from behind the arc after a slow start in the season's first six games (28.6 percent). The guard has shot 46.7 percent (14-of-30) from long range during the last six games.
- Poppens is averaging 15.0 points and 12 rebounds over the last three games. She is shooting 51.7 percent from the field and is 15-for-19 from the free throw line during the stretch.
- Cole has 25 assists and just six turnovers in the last seven games.
- Poppens has posted double-digit rebounds in eight of the 11 games she has played in this season. The junior leads the Big 12 and ranks third nationally averaging 11.7 rebounds per game.
- Nikki Moody is shooting 84.6 percent (11-13) on free throws over the final five minutes of the game this season.
- Poppens is one of two Big 12 players averaging a double-double (Brittney Griner, Baylor). Her 17 rebounds against Butler tie the Big 12 high for the season (BreAnna Brock, Missouri).
- Iowa State has controlled the paint early this season. The Cyclones are outscoring their opponents by nearly 11 points in the paint per game (26.7-15.8).
- Poppens needs 11 more rebounds to move into 10th place all-time at Iowa State. Barb Gordon (1991-94) is currently 10th with 624 career boards.

- In two career games against Baylor, Prins is averaging 14.0 points per contest.
- As a head coach, Bill Fennelly owns a 6-12 record against Baylor.
