AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State women's basketball team plays its second-straight Big 12 road game Sunday at Texas Tech. The game will be televised in its entirety in Iowa and Texas on ESPN2. Other parts of the nation will get "whip-around coverage", much like an NCAA Tournament game.

Cyclone Notebook
- Iowa State, which has won five of its last six games following an 0-5 start in Big 12 play, travels to Lubbock, Texas for a game against Texas Tech Sunday. The Cyclones sit one spot ahead of the Lady Raiders in the league standings.
- The Cyclones are 2-4 on the road in Big 12 action this season. Iowa State beat Missouri by 13 in Columbia and Kansas State by nine in Manhattan but has fallen in its other four league away games. Two of those losses came in the last 2.5 seconds of the game, while another came in double overtime.
- The Cyclones won their third straight Wednesday night at Missouri. Iowa State took the lead for good with 15 minutes left in the first half and never let go.
- Iowa State was led by Lauren Mansfield, who tallied her third-career 20-point game and finished with 21 points behind five 3-pointers. Chelsea Poppens recorded her third-straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
- Mansfield and Chassidy Cole both had career nights rebounding, finishing with eight and 11 boards, respectively.
- The Cyclones went 18-for-20 in the game from the free-throw line against Mizzou. In the last seven games, ISU is shooting 77 percent from the charity stripe.
- Lauren Mansfield had a career-high 11 assists and just one turnover against Texas. The senior guard has 25 assists in the last four games.
- Poppens has posted double-digit rebounds in 13 of the 21 games she has played in this season. The junior leads the Big 12 and is sixth nationally averaging 11.2 rebounds per game.
- Brynn Williamson is tied for fourth in the Big 12 averaging 1.8 three-pointers made per game. As a team, Iowa State leads the league hitting 7.2 threes per contest.
- Williamson's fellow freshman Nikki Moody is leading Big 12 rookies in assists and is third among them in scoring.
- Poppens' 11 double-doubles are the most in the Big 12. Baylor's Brittney Griner is second with ten.
- Poppens is the only Big 12 player averaging a double-double with 14.7 points and 11.2 rebounds.
- Moody is shooting 80 percent (24-30) on free throws over the final five minutes of the game this season.
- Poppens needs 93 rebounds to move into sixth place all-time at Iowa State. Janel Grimm (1995-98) is currently sixth with 813 career boards.
