- Iowa State enters Wednesday game having won five of its last seven, including three in a row at home.
- The Cyclones are 10-2 at home this season and 3-2 in Big 12 play. The home losses have come at the hands of top-ranked Baylor and defending national champion Texas A&M.
- The Cyclones shot just 27.1 percent in a 10-point loss Sunday afternoon at Texas Tech.
- Chelsea Poppens led the Cyclones with 12 points against the Lady Raiders. Poppens has led the Cyclones in scoring 12 times this season. Nikki Moody and Kelsey Harris both tallied 11 points in the loss.
- Moody became the second Iowa State freshman to record 100 assists. She sits just eight shy of Iowa State's rookie record held by Lyndsey Medders.
- The Cyclones are shooting 76 percent from the free-throw line the last eight games. Each player that has taken over 10 free throws during the stretch is shooting at least 74 percent.
- Lauren Mansfield had a career-high 11 assists and just one turnover against Texas. The senior guard has 25 assists in the last four games.
- Poppens has posted double-digit rebounds in 13 of the 22 games she has played in this season. The junior leads the Big 12 and is ninth nationally averaging 11.0 rebounds per game.
- Brynn Williamson is tied for fifth in the Big 12 averaging 1.7 three-pointers made per game. As a team, Iowa State leads the league hitting 7.1 threes per contest.
- Williamson's fellow freshman Nikki Moody is leading Big 12 rookies in assists and is second among them in scoring.
- Poppens is tied with Baylor's Brittney Griner for most double-doubles in the Big 12 with 11 this season.
- Poppens is the only Big 12 player averaging a double-double with 14.6 points and 11.0 rebounds.
- Moody is shooting 80 percent (24-30) on free throws over the final five minutes of the game this season.
- Poppens needs 86 rebounds to move into sixth place all-time at Iowa State. Janel Grimm (1995-98) is currently sixth with 813 career boards.
