- Iowa State enters Saturday's game having won four of its last five and six of its last eight, including four in a row at home. The Cyclones are currently tied for fifth in the league with Kansas.
- Saturday's game is a Play 4 Kay pink game. Iowa State will wear white uniforms with pink trim along with pink shoes to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
- The Cyclones are 11-2 at home this season and 4-2 in Big 12 play. The home losses have come at the hands of top-ranked Baylor and defending national champion Texas A&M.
- The Cyclones used their best shooting half of the season (60 percent second half) to erase a two-point halftime deficit and beat Kansas 66-47 Wednesday night at Hilton Coliseum. Iowa State owned a 38-22 edge on the glass, its highest rebounding edge in Big 12 play this season.
- Chelsea Poppens finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds to record her 20th career double-double (12th this season). Hallie Christofferson was also in double figures with 14 points, while Chassidy Cole finished with a career-high 11 assists to go along with six points and eight boards.
- Poppens needs just 88 points to become the 23rd member of Iowa State's 1,000-point club.
- Poppens has also moved into the top-five list for junior class rebounding with 255 boards this season, which ranks fourth. She needs one more rebound to match Toccara Ross' total in 2007.
- Brynn Williamson has 40 threes this season, just five shy of joining the top-five for three-pointers made by a freshman.
- Christofferson is shooting a Big 12-best 46.3 percent from behind the arc in league play.
- Against Texas Tech, Nikki Moody became the second Iowa State freshman to record 100 assists. She sits just eight shy of Iowa State's rookie record held by Lyndsey Medders.
- The Cyclones are shooting 76.3 percent from the free-throw line the last nine games. Each player that has taken over 10 free throws during the stretch is shooting at least 74 percent.
- Lauren Mansfield had a career-high 11 assists and just one turnover against Texas. The senior guard has 32 assists and a 2.1 assist/turnover ratio in the last six games.
- Poppens has posted double-digit rebounds in 14 of the 23 games she has played in this season. The junior leads the Big 12 and is ninth nationally averaging 11.1 rebounds per game.
- Williamson is tied for fifth in the Big 12 averaging 1.7 three-pointers made per game. As a team, Iowa State leads the league hitting 7.1 threes per contest.
- Williamson's fellow freshman Nikki Moody is leading Big 12 rookies in assists and is third among them in scoring.
- Poppens is tied with Baylor's Brittney Griner for most double-doubles in the Big 12 with 12 this season.
- Poppens is the only Big 12 player averaging a double-double with 14.7 points and 11.1 rebounds.
- Moody is shooting 80 percent (24-30) on free throws over the final five minutes of the game this season.
- Poppens needs 74 rebounds to move into sixth place all-time at Iowa State. Janel Grimm (1995-98) is currently sixth with 813 career boards.
- Iowa State has an all-time record of 606-522 (.537), including 369-169 (.686) under the direction of Fennelly.
