AMES, Iowa - The Cyclone softball team includes nine newcomers, seven freshmen and two sophomore transfers, this season. Each week, cyclones.com will feature one of the nine newcomers, allowing fans to get to know the players off the field.
San Diego, Calif. native Madison Jones has pitched in 10 games for the Cyclones this season, starting two, and has played parts of five games in the outfield and at first base. In her conference debut against No. 6 Texas, Jones threw 4.1 innings of three-hit, no-run softball and struck out two Longhorns.?
