AMES, Iowa - On Wednesday, the Cyclones (10-22, 0-6 Big 12) will travel to Omaha, Neb. to play a make-up game at Creighton before returning home for a two-day, three-game series with No. 15 Texas A&M on Friday and Saturday.
Iowa State is coming off a series sweep at Texas Tech last weekend that included Sunday's 5-3 eight-inning loss. The Cyclones hit a home run in each of the contests with the Red Raiders after not going deep in the previous four games. Iowa State also collected at least five hits in each game, the first time the team has put together a stretch of three games with five hits since amassing a five-game streak last month.
Sophomore Sara Davison entered the Tech series hitting .191 this season but heated up, going 4-for-9 against the Red Raiders to raise her batting average to .267. Junior Erica Miller also went 4-for-9 against TTU, including a home run in game two. Miller leads the team this season with a .374 batting average, ranked 10th in the Big 12.
Wednesday's game at Creighton is scheduled for a 5 p.m. CST first pitch. Friday, the Cyclones and Aggies will play a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. and Saturday's series finale will start at noon.
Cyclone Notebook
- Iowa State will play a make-up game at Creighton on Wednesday before hosting Texas A&M on Friday and Saturday for three games.

- Freshman Amber Ewert drove in her seventh two-out RBI on Sunday, hitting a double to tie the game and send it into extra innings.
- Sunday's game was the second extra-innings affair for the Cyclones this season. Iowa State is 1-1 in such contests, winning 6-2 over Western Illinois on Feb. 12.
- Iowa State ranks third in league play in batting with runners (.299), RISP (.343) and batting with two outs (.255).

- Miller, Ewert, Tori Torrescano and Lexi Slater each had two RBIs against the Red Raiders.
- Both Ewert and Slater drove in both their runs with two outs.
- Iowa State had seven at bats with the bases loaded against Tech but, despite hitting .429 (3-for-7) in those at bats, the Cyclones scored 12 runs over the weekend while the Red Raiders, who were 1-for-3 with the bases loaded, scored 30 runs.
- Dalyn Varela and Lexi Slater were the only Cyclones to come to the plate on three or more occasions with runners in scoring position. The duo finished the weekend 1-for-7 (.143) in those at bats.
- Miller and Torrescano carry four game hitting streaks into Wednesday's game at Creighton.

Only during the second game against Texas did the Cyclones strike out three batters.

- The Cyclones are 3-7 in their last 10 games but that hasn't slowed Torrescano who is 10-for-25 (.400) during that stretch with four extra-base hits, including a home run, and a team-high eight RBIs and five walks.
- Jorden Smith and Torrescano are the only Cyclones to walk more than once over the course of six Big 12 games this season, each tallying two bases on balls.
