AMES, Iowa – When West Virginia comes to town on Sunday, Feb. 17 it will be about more than just basketball. That is because the game is part of the annual Play 4Kay initiative, a united effort by women's basketball coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
As part of the weekend, Iowa State will be hosting a free reception for breast cancer survivors from 10:30-noon at Hilton Coliseum on the day of the game.
Those attending the reception receive two tickets to the game, as well as the opportunity to purchase additional tickets for $3 each. Attendees will also receive bagels and snacks provided by Panera Bread, raffle prizes and more.
