Nikki Moody finished with 14 points, all in the second half, to go along with 10 assists for her second career double-double.
- The Cyclones have been one of the top defensive teams in the nation this season. Iowa State ranks fourth nationally allowing opponents just 47.8 points per game behind the nation's second-ranked field goal percentage defense (29.7 percent). Hallie Christofferson is eighth in the Big 12 averaging 15.1 points per game and seventh in rebounding at 7.8 boards per game. The junior is 35th nationally in field-goal percentage (53.5). She is one of just two players to rank in the top-35 with more than 40 three-point attempts.

Chelsea Poppens continues to get back into form following a three-game absence (concussion). The senior All-America candidate tallied 16 points against Texas to raise her average to 13.6 points per game and has been in double figures in four of the last five games. She also averages 8.9 boards per game.

Nikki Moody is leading the Big 12 and ranks second nationally with 8.0 assists per game. She has posted back-to-back games with double-digit dimes. The sophomore has posted at least five assists in all 10 games she has played this season. Of the 10 games this season with double-digit assists by Big 12 players, Moody has four of them.

Brynn Williamson has taken on the defensive stopper role this season and is averaging a team-high 1.6 steals per game. On Wednesday, Williamson played all 45 minutes while shadowing Texas' Chassidy Fussell. The sophomore held the dynamic scorer to 15 points, under her season average, in the overtime win.
- The Cyclones are assisting on a Big 12 best 73.5 percent of their field goals. ISU has eight games this season with 17 or more assists after doing so just 10 times all last season.
- The Cyclone starting five has taken on the bulk of the scoring. The group is scoring nearly 77 percent of the team's points.
- Kidd Blaskowsky was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week after pouring in 26 points on eight threes vs. Air Force.
