- Iowa State, which is ranked No. 24 in The Associated Press poll and No. 23 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll, looks to extend its winning streak to five games Sunday when it hosts West Virginia in a nationally televised contest at Hilton Coliseum. With a win, Iowa State would match its longest Big 12 win streak since 2008-09.
- The Cyclones earned a season sweep of Oklahoma with a 72-68 win in Norman on Thursday. The Cyclones, who moved into second place in the league, have now swept the third-place Sooners and fourth-place Texas Tech this season.
Hallie Christofferson posted her career high for the second game in a row, tallying 27 points to go along with 10 rebounds.
Chelsea Poppens scored 19 points and Kidd Blaskowsky came off the bench to add in 15 points.
- Christofferson is fifth in the Big 12 averaging 15.4 points per game and 10th in rebounding at 6.8 boards per game. The junior has scored in double digits in 19 of 23 games this season, including seven games with 20+ points. She has shot 50 percent or better from the field in 17 games and is shooting 54.7 percent, good for 15th nationally.
