AMES, Iowa – Iowa State (14-19, 0-3 Big 12) has added two games to its 2013 schedule and will host a doubleheader against the University of Missouri-Kansas City on April 17.
The two games against the Kangaroos will fill the holes created when the Cyclones' games against North Carolina and George Washington were rained out in February, bringing the season's total number of games back to 56.
Iowa State and UMKC have not played each other since the 2008 season, and the Cyclones have won each of the last three meetings between the teams, dating back to 2007. A doubleheader scheduled at UMKC during the 2011 season was cancelled due to snow.
This season's doubleheader is set for Wednesday, April 17, with games at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. CDT at the Cyclone Sports Complex.
