AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women's basketball team defeated Winona State 64-29 at Hilton Coliseum in its final exhibition game of the season. The Cyclones were led by junior Kidd Blaskowsky who totaled 17 points and sophomore
Seanna Johnson who grabbed 13 rebounds in the win.
How it happened…The Cyclones started off hot with an 18-0 lead over the Warriors. The Cyclones would start the game 5-of-5 from beyond the arc. Iowa State would grow its lead to as much as 23 points (27-4) before Winona State went on a run of its own to close the gap to 27-14 with a 10-0 run.
Junior Kidd Blaskowsky led the Cyclones with 14 points in the first half, as Johnson led ISU with seven first-half rebounds, ending with 13 boards in the contest. Blaskowsky hit four three-pointers in the first half, adding a fifth in the second.
In the second half, Iowa State kept the momentum, growing its lead to 42. Winona State could not match the Cyclones' pace, who shot 42 percent from the field (27-65) and 44 percent from long range on the game (7-16).

Blaskowsky started the game off 4-of-4 from deep and paced the Cyclones, scoring 17 points and hitting five of the Cyclones' seven three-pointers for the game. The Sugarland, Texas, native was the lone Cyclone in double figures in today's action.
