AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State softball team's doubleheader against South Dakota that was originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 starting at 2 p.m. has been pushed back to Thursday, March 27, Iowa State announced Saturday night.
Due to anticipated below freezing temperatures forecasted for Tuesday, the decision was made to move the games between the Cyclones and Coyotes until later in the week, when the temperatures are expected to rise into the high 40s.
Iowa State's doubleheader Sunday at the Cyclone Sports Complex against Northern Illinois, which starts at noon with the second game beginning around 2 p.m., is still scheduled as planned. The date-switch of the South Dakota doubleheader will not have an effect on Iowa State's weekend series against Oklahoma. The Cyclones and Sooners will still play one game on each of Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
All updates pertaining to the status of games on the date of competition will first be announced on Iowa State Softball's Facebook page and Twitter account, @CycloneSB.
