AMES, Iowa – In anticipation of rain on Saturday and Sunday, Iowa State has announced some changes to the schedule for its Big 12 softball series against Texas. The Cyclones and Longhorns will now play a doubleheader on Friday, beginning at 2 p.m. with the second game following the conclusion of the first game. The third game of the series is slated for Saturday at noon with no game on Sunday. All games will take place at the Cyclone Sports Complex.
The three-game series against Texas will be the start of a nine-game home stand for Iowa State. The Cyclones will play a doubleheader against North Dakota on Tuesday followed by a one-off game against Omaha on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Apr. 22, Iowa State will play its rescheduled doubleheader against South Dakota, starting at 2 p.m. The next day on Apr. 23, ISU will close out the stretch of home games with its Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series showdown against Iowa at 4 p.m.
